This high energy version featuring the pianist in a big band setting by Dave Wolpe will bring down the house if performed as written. The arrangement is a great opener and even a better closer for that major jazz concert of the season. This chart boasts outstanding ensemble writing along with interludes, exchanges with the soloists and a stop-time section that will put your pianist at the forefront of the ensemble and probably the entire concert. Keep in mind though that without a strong ensemble and a fine piano soloist this chart will not work. The lead trumpet part is a challenge and the tempo will summons the entire ensemble. If you have all of the above this chart is a must have. This package includes a CD recording of this chart and will help your musicians lock into this well written arrangement.
